My name is Sean Noel and I am a 12-year-old from Mandeville, Louisiana.  Last year, I developed a program called ““Mandeville Remembers” to honor and recognize our local veterans and service members.

The program has been so successful, that we have expanded and renamed it “St. Tammany Remembers”.

The program includes a website that lists our our fallen heroes and active service members, as well as our retired and non-active local military veterans.

Participation on the website is voluntary.  However, if a veteran submits their phone number and/or email, organizations will be able to contact them to participate in ceremonies and honored events.

Local citizens, schools, Scout troops and service agencies are able  to access the website at www.StTammanyRemembers.com and on Facebook under “St. Tammany Remembers”

Mandeville Mayor Donald Villere has endorsed the program, as well as former Louisiana’s Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Lane Carson.

I developed the idea after last year’s Veteran’s Day program at my school.  I couldn’t find a veteran to participate, so I decided to create a program so that when anyone wanted to “find” a veteran or service member to honor, they could do so.
